Isn't he sweet? He's a Great Pyrenees and the best puppy I've ever known. I'm not a huge pet person really, but I loooove this pup. He still doesn't have a name though. Any suggestions? He is going to be really big, and white, and furry.
Our friends' Great Pyrenees (and wonderful dog, though he had a soft spot for stealing bait worms when you were fishing) named their dog "Beau." It was the perfect name for such a lug of a dog.
Lia came up with Ferdinand, too. I think he should have a French names because he's from the Pyrenees....so I think Garcon would fit just fine...or maybe Basquer ((keeping the family penchant for naming dogs Basquer in appropriate order....) He is a sweetheart, and came to Lia right away and snuggled with her.
Wat about Polar? I was thinking this because he is white and big and the bear name kind of stuck with me. Where did you get the information on hypno babies? Is it something I have to buy? Book? When would I start it? At conception or closer to delivery? No, I am not pregnant, I am just thinking about it for future information.
He is gorgeous! I immediately thought of Yeti for a name, in Australia our Yeti myth is called a Bunyip. So I would think Bunyip would be a glorious name for a big white bundle of bouncing fur. Our next dog is going to be called Bucket though, the kids have already chosen his name before we even have the dog hehe. Good luck choosing it's always lots of fun.

so cute! they are the best dogs! I love the name sampson.
Finally...a boy for you! :)
Our friends had a big dog and named him Bear. He was a sweetheart, just like yours will be.

What a cutie! I have a friend who has 2 Great Pyrenees...they are just the sweetest!
Not sure why but the word Mojo popped into my head. He's super cute!
Our next door neighbor has a big white dog like this named Ruggles. But you should call this guy Pancho. My second vote is for Mojo.
More options:
Snarls Barkley
Dr. McCoy (AKA "Bones")
Jaws
Gargamel
We actually talked about Sampson, but we already have a cat named that. :)
Yes Laura, I didn't even think about that! Now our family is complete. Ha!
Ohhh, good names everyone. I will have to show Mark.
You know, you could heighten the "a boy, finally!" thing by calling him "boy" or something other male-related. :)
(I also like the name "Blue" for a dog for some reason, but that got shot down by my husband when we got our newbie 6 weeks ago...)
Hercules.
Hulk.
I'm going to be thinking of names until you pick one.
adorable! my aunt and uncle had one of those, and its name was hominy :)
He's so cute! How about Ferdinand?
He is adorable! How about Blizzard?
Our good friends got one that looks identical and he is so sweet! His name is Fezzik. :)

Oh, Sarah, we were talking about Fezzick and then you posted that. So funny.
We still don't have a name.
Veronica - Hypnobabies is a whole program. You can get more information at www.hypnobabies.com. The recommend starting at around 32 weeks pregnant. :)

Just so everyone knows... the question of the canine appellation is now settled. He shall be known as Thor... seriously.
He is so sweet! I've heard such wonderful things about that type of dog. He looks like a "Ralph" to me.
Blessings,
Michelle
